Timothy Dalton: Forgotten Bond
1987-1989

Timothy Dalton was to be the antithesis of Roger Moore's Bond. He was a brawler and much less of a charmer. He smoked cigarettes and slapped women in his two films as 007 in the late 1980s. But like George Lazenby before him, he was very much under appreciated as Bond. After his second film, which was a financial disappointment the franchise took six years off before Pierce Brosnan would pick up the tux.
Back then The Simpsons was just a small segment on the Tracey Ullman Show. Yes it deserved its own show and 20 years later is still going strong. I think Madonna has been declared dead at least 10 times since 1987. And just who had e-mail back then? There is no way that EW could have really predicted the viral video/Youtube trend.
