Pierce Brosnan: Born to be Bond
Pierce Brosnan was almost 007 back in 1987 but finally got the role in 1995 when the series reignited as large scale action blockbusters to compete in the Bruckheimer era. His Bond films were mega-expensive special effects spectacles that became slightly hard to believe (an invisible car anyone?). He wanted to retain the role for a fifth film but producers chose to restart the franchise with Bond on his first mission in Casino Royale. From the cover Coolio sure didn't change the face of rap, did he? And Laserdiscs were soon to be displaced by DVDs.
